Estimula eixo GnRH → LH/FSH — regulador central da função reprodutiva Original in PT-BR

O Kisspeptin é um neuropeptídeo produzido no hipotálamo que atua como regulador mestre do eixo reprodutivo. Liga-se ao receptor KISS1R (GPR54) nos neurônios GnRH, estimulando a liberação pulsátil de GnRH, que por sua vez estimula LH e FSH na hipófise anterior. O Kisspeptin-10 (fragmento C-terminal ativo) é suficiente para ativar o receptor. Em ensaios clínicos, demonstrou estimulação de LH comparável ao GnRH exógeno, com potencial como gatilho de ovulação em FIV (menor risco de hiperestimulação ovariana vs HCG).
