Experimental protocol

NAD+

Reconstitution

NAD+ is quite acidic and can sting or burn going in. A larger fill (10 mL) and a slow push both reduce that. Subcutaneous doses are usually small and ramped up gradually.

Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water, adding it slowly down the vial wall.
Swirl gently until dissolved. Do not shake.
The solution should be clear once mixed.
Because it is acidic, plan to inject slowly to limit the sting.

New to mixing peptides? Our general beginner’s guide to reconstitution walks through the basics that apply to any vial.

Suggested Protocol

Weeks 1 to 2: start at 250 mg SC per dose, 3 times per week (assess flush tolerance)
Week 3 onward: 500 mg SC per dose if well tolerated
Usual range: 250 to 500 mg SC, 3 to 4 times per week
Dose 3 to 4 times per week (for example Monday, Wednesday, Friday), not daily
At 500 mg/mL, 250 mg is a 0.5 mL draw and 500 mg is a 1 mL draw on a 1 mL syringe (not an insulin syringe, because of the volume)
NAD+ is acidic and the burn comes from injecting too fast
Push the dose over a full 30 to 60 seconds
The bigger 10 mL fill also keeps it more dilute and easier to tolerate

Dosing Detail

Ramp over 3 weeks: 250 mg for weeks 1 to 2, then 500 mg per dose from week 3, three to four times per week.
Three sessions a week (e.g. Mon/Wed/Fri) is the common frequency, not daily.
The discomfort is from acidity and injection speed, so push slowly over 30 to 60 seconds.

Duration

Run three times weekly in blocks of 4 to 6 weeks, then assess.

Notes

Studied for cellular energy and longevity.
The sting is from acidity, so dilute more and go slow.
Inject subcutaneously and rotate sites.

Storage & Handling

Keep the powdered (lyophilized) vial in a cool, dark place. Refrigerate it for longer-term storage before mixing.
Once reconstituted and properly stored (refrigerated at 2 to 8°C and kept out of direct light), use the vial within 90 days.
Do not freeze a reconstituted vial, and keep it away from heat and sunlight.
If the solution turns cloudy, develops floating particles, or shows any other sign of degradation, stop using that vial.
