Why peptide delivery is difficult
Peptides can be degraded by enzymes and may cross biological barriers poorly. Route and formulation therefore affect stability, exposure and tissue distribution. Injectable, oral, nasal and other delivery systems are not interchangeable: each molecule requires its own pharmacokinetic, safety and regulatory evidence. Reviews of approved peptide products help explain formulation science, but they do not validate unapproved routes or do-it-yourself dosing. This article intentionally contains no administration protocol.
