Modulação GABA/serotonina — ansiolítico SEM sedação ou dependência Original in PT-BR

O Selank é formado pela extensão da tuftina (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg) com o tripeptídeo Pro-Gly-Pro, aumentando estabilidade enzimática. Seu mecanismo ansiolítico envolve: (1) Modulação alostérica positiva do receptor GABA-A — diferente de benzodiazepínicos, aumenta sensibilidade ao GABA sem se ligar ao sítio dos benzos, evitando tolerância e dependência; (2) Modulação serotoninérgica — estabiliza os níveis de serotonina e seu metabolismo, com efeito antidepressivo leve; (3) Regulação de encefalinas — modula o sistema opioide endógeno, contribuindo para ansiolise; (4) Efeito imunomodulador herdado da tuftina — modula expressão de IL-6 e regulação imune.
