O CJC-1295 sem DAC liga-se ao receptor de GHRH na pituitária anterior, estimulando a liberação de GH pelos somatotrofos. Age pela via do GHRH — uma das duas vias principais de estimulação de GH (a outra sendo a via da grelina, usada por Ipamorelin/GHRP-6). Ao combinar CJC-1295 sem DAC (via GHRH) com Ipamorelin (via grelina), ativa-se ambas as vias simultaneamente para liberação amplificada de GH — este é o 'Golden Combo' dos protocolos de GH (PMID: 16352683).
